The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) Innovations Team proudly participated in the #STRI4Society Week held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) during the official launch of the University Mentorship Toolkits.
The event brought together universities, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore strategies for strengthening innovation ecosystems and fostering entrepreneurship among young people. The launch of the University Mentorship Toolkits marked a significant step toward enhancing mentorship opportunities and supporting the growth of student-led innovations across the country.
Representing UEAB, Mr. Joseph Wachira Ngunjiri, Patron of the Innovations and Entrepreneurship Club, provided an insightful overview of the mentorship resources available through the Startup School Kenya Portal. He highlighted the platform’s role in equipping students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical tools, guidance, and networks necessary for developing innovative ideas into sustainable ventures.
Mr. Ngunjiri emphasized the importance of mentorship in nurturing creativity, strengthening entrepreneurial skills, and connecting young innovators with experienced professionals and industry experts. He encouraged students to take advantage of the available resources to accelerate their personal and professional growth while creating solutions that address societal challenges.
