Job Summary: The University seeks a dynamic and experienced Instructional Designer who will work in liaison with subject matter experts to structure, design, and review instructional content of online courses using appropriate technologies and upload them to the Learning Management System (LMS).  

OVERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Create compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process

Required Qualifications and Experience

1. Master’s degree in education with specialization in instructional design, educational technology or equivalent.
2. A bachelor’s degree in education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Communication, or a closely related field.
3. Over 2 years of proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
4. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
5. Lesson and curriculum planning skills
6. Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
7. Experience with at least one content authoring tool
8. Visual design skills and ability to storyboard

3. Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
4. Recommending and implementing innovative learning technologies, including gamification, simulations, and virtual tools
5. Working with subject matter experts and identifying target audience’s training needs
6. Stating the instructional end goals and creating content that matches them
7. Visualizing instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
8. Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
9. Applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
10. Providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
11. Working with media assistant to create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Development and Alumni Affairs shall:

1. Develop and implement programs pertaining to areas of planned giving, endowment funds, foundations and donor funds in accordance with the missions, aims and objectives as well as the strategic plan of the University.
2. Monitor and coordinate the infrastructural development of the University based on the Master Plan, including coordination of site visits, as well as receiving progress reports on ongoing construction projects.
3. Develop systems that will facilitate the preparation and submission of grant proposals from both academic and non-academic staff.
4. Mobilize, build and strengthen the network of individuals, alumni, corporations and organizations that give to the development of UEAB.
5. Act as liaison officer between funding sources and the University and maintain personal contacts with representatives for funding sources.
6. Work as a steward of foundations and corporations that have provided support for institution projects.
7. Act as liaison officer between Government and the University on matters affecting the UEAB community.
8. Ensure the production of materials and activities intended for fund raising.
9. Supervise the development and alumni affairs support staff as well volunteers in implementation of development and alumni affairs programs.
10. Liaise with the Administration on the utilization of donated funds, timely completion of projects, accurate documentation and prompt reporting as per agreements with donors.
11. Process the delivery of deferred and presented gifts for the use and benefit of UEAB.
12. Liaise with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor-Academics and the Deputy Vice-ChancellorFinance and Administration on the equipment and facility needs and developing funding requests to relevant donors.
13. Conduct research and establish collaborations with embassies and missions that will help in development of funding requests from various departments of the University including funding for needy and worthy students.
14. Initiate development projects that link the University to the community and industry.
15. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Vice Chancellor

2. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand their webrelated needs and deliver functional solutions.
3. Implement and manage content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) to facilitate easy updates and content management.
4. Optimize website performance, including load times, mobile responsiveness, and search engine visibility.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including bugs and performance issues.
6. Ensure compliance with web standards and accessibility guidelines.
7. Integrate web-based applications and tools to support the university’s digital initiatives.
8. Stay current with emerging web technologies and best practices to continually improve website functionality and user experience.
9. Perform any other tasks related to ICT Operations as instructed by the ITS Manager.

7. Receive and bank revenue.
8. Maintain ledger books and preparation of financial statements;

10. Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
11. Maintain assets Registers.
12. Prepare income and expenditure day book.
13. Summarize statutory deduction
14. Preparation of monthly financial reports.
15. Processing petty cash and replenishment;
    1. Issue and record petty cash transactions, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
    2. Accurately maintain petty cash and cheque payments
16. Accurately input financial transactions into accounting systems, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
