Distinguished Alumnus Visits UEAB to Support

Aviation Program Development

The Department of Technology recently welcomed one of its distinguished alumni, Joshua “Josh” Mochache, who studied in the department during the late 1990s.

Mr. Mochache currently serves as a V-22 Technology and Test Engineer at Bell Textron in Texas, USA. Bell is internationally recognized for its aerospace innovations, including the development of the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft. In addition to his engineering role, he is also a certified pilot with extensive experience in the aviation industry.

During his courtesy visit, Mr. Mochache engaged faculty members in discussions aimed at advancing the University’s Aviation Management Programme. Drawing from his professional experience, he shared valuable insights on emerging trends in aviation, industry expectations, curriculum development, and opportunities for strengthening industry-academic partnerships.

His visit underscored the importance of aligning academic programs with the evolving needs of the aviation and technology sectors. He also encouraged the department to explore future opportunities in engineering-oriented programs and technological innovation.

The Department of Technology greatly appreciates Mr. Mochache’s willingness to share his expertise and vision. His insights will contribute significantly to shaping the future direction of the Aviation Management Programme while opening new possibilities for the development of engineering and technology-related programs at UEAB.

The visit reflects the vital role that alumni play in supporting institutional growth and inspiring the next generation of professionals in aviation, engineering, and technology.
