THE UPCOMING WHEELCHAIR DISTRIBUTION  (9/6/2025)

The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton is excited to announce its continued collaboration with Chair The Love Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization committed to transforming lives through mobility. Chair The Love Foundation was introduced to UEAB through a liaison between the Publishing Department and Health Ministries of Florida Conference and General Conference Health Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Since 2023, this collaboration has enabled life-changing wheelchair distributions across the country and beyond, promoting accessibility and inclusion for individuals with mobility challenges.  The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) is guided by its mission: “To provide and advance a wholistic quality Christian education which develops men and women to be earnest seekers of truth and equip them with appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes for service to God and humanity.”

This mission is brought to life through active community outreach initiatives such as this wheelchair distribution program, which demonstrates the university’s commitment to serving society, especially the marginalized and underserved. By collaborating with like-minded organizations such as Chair the Love Foundation, UEAB continues to uphold its mandate of transforming lives through education, compassion, and service.

In February 2023, the first distribution took place through the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, in partnership with the East and West Kenya Union Conferences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A total of 240 chairs were distributed.
