Baraton, Kenya – In a remarkable display of compassion, collaboration, and community service, Chair The Love, in partnership with the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB), led a life-changing wheelchair distribution campaign that impacted 280 individuals across three key locations in western Kenya. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the West Rift Valley Field (WRVF) and supported by county representatives, aimed to restore mobility, dignity, and hope to people living with disabilities.

The campaign kicked off on June 9, 2025, at the UEAB campus, where 140 wheelchairs were distributed during an event graced by UEAB Vice Chancellor, Prof. Msafiri M. Jackson, Chair The Love Leader Augie Byllott, WRVF representatives, and local government officials. The day was marked by emotion and gratitude, as recipients shared powerful stories of how access to mobility will change their lives.

Following the successful launch at Baraton, the UEAB team continued the outreach in collaboration with Chair The Love. On June 10, 2025, the team took another 140 wheelchairs to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), and on June 11, 2025, the final leg was completed in Kisumu, reaching even more individuals in need.

“This initiative is not just about mobility — it’s about restoring freedom, dignity, and human connection,” said Augie Byllott, Leader of Chair The Love. “Working hand in hand with UEAB, we’ve been able to touch 280 lives in a deeply meaningful way.”

Prof. Msafiri M. Jackson praised the spirit of collaboration and reaffirmed UEAB’s commitment to community transformation through faith and service:

“We are proud to be a university that not only educates but uplifts. Through this partnership, we’ve extended our mission beyond our campus to meet real needs across the region.”

The three-day outreach across UEAB (Baraton), JOOUST (Bondo), and Kisumu serves as a shining example of what can be achieved when institutions of learning, humanitarian organizations, and local communities work together in unity and purpose.
