The University Council in its meeting of 21 April 2025 appointed Eng Japheth Kirwa The General Manager of University Industries. The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton operate several industries which includes University Farm, Bakery, Dairy, Community Center, Better Health Restaurant, Vegetable Garden, Snackett, Water Bottling Plant, Guest House, Shopping Centre, and Oil Depot. The new General Manager Graduated with BSc Agricultural Engineering from JKUAT, MSc Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and ME.Industrial Engineering from Hunan University, China.
Eng. Kirwa has worked initially with the National Government under the Ministry of Agriculture in various stations including Kitui, Kirinyaga, Marsabit and later with the County Government of Nandi as the County Agricultural Engineer. His last position before joining the University was working with Stelag Engineering Company as the Operations Manager.
