BARATON, Kenya – The spirit of fitness, innovation, and community engagement was on full display today as the Baraton Road Race & Fun Run 2026 officially got underway as one of the flagship events of the Baraton Innovation & Entrepreneurship Week (BIEW 2026) at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB).
Participants from across the region gathered for a day of excitement and healthy competition, taking part in a variety of activities designed to promote wellness, recreation, and community involvement. The event featured a 10-kilometer road race, 5-kilometer and 3-kilometer fun runs, cycling competitions, and children’s races, providing opportunities for people of all ages and fitness levels to participate.
The race route connected Chepterit Junction and the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the scenic surroundings while celebrating the values of determination, teamwork, and healthy living.
