PhD, Graduate and PGDA Applicants:

  1. Non-refundable Application Fee (KES. 2,500 or its USD equivalent, proof of payment required)
  2. Complete and signed application form: https://ueab.ac.ke/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/GraduateStudiesApplicationForm-1.pdf 
  3. Copies of official degree certificate and transcripts for each college or professional school previously attended (originals to be brought for verification on the day of reporting to the university).
  4. Originals and copies of all supportive academic documents
  5. Updated Curriculum Vitae
  6. Meet the University minimum entry requirement eligibility criteria

  8. Meet the University minimum entry requirement criteria
  9. One recent passport size photograph (name of the student on reverse side)
  10. Copy of the National Identity Card

  12. Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) Equation Certificate (required for all Foreign Qualifications) www.knqa.go.ke

Application Dates:

University of Eastern Africa, Baraton has two intakes in an Academic year. Main intakes being in August/September and December/January for all the courses.

Submitting Application:

Only complete applications will be accepted. A non-refundable aplliation fee must accompany the application.

Things To Know First

The Common Application is required for students applying to any or all of KU’s three degree. You’ll be able to choose your campus and program s that you are interested.

You will need :

  • Contact information for the counselor or other school representative who will complete your Common Application School Report and submit your official high school transcript.
  • Contact information for one teacher (or two, maximum) who will complete the Teacher Evaluation form.
  • Nonrefundable $50 application fee. Students who are unable to pay the application fee can request a fee waiver.
