Extension Centers have been established to cater for the expanding demand for our university education. The programmes herein offered can be taken on a part-time and full time basis. The Eldoret extension is located in Eldoret Town, in the Rift-Valley province of Kenya.

Degree Upgrading

In Nursing
Admission Requirements-- A mean grade of C(plain) at KCSE or Division III at KCE and their equivalent, -- A diploma from a recognized institution in any of the following health professions
- Kenya Registered Nurse (KRN)
- Kenya Registered Nurse and Midwifery (KRN/KRM)
- Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse
-- License by the Nursing Council of Kenya or an equivalent accrediting body -- Two years working experience in the respective health science profession
Credit/Transfer Exemptions:
For each respective diploma health profession owned by a number of credit hours may be transferred into the degree programme. However, this depends on passing such courses through a university exam set by the university.
Mode of Study
- This is a part time programme for two days in a week; Thursday and Friday evening classes
- Evening classes may be arranged for Sunday
- A full-time programme is offered at the main campus, Baraton
Duration of Study:
- Part-time programme: 3 1/2 years
- Full-time programme at the main campus can take 2 1/2 years
- In one academic year, a course loading up to 50 credits may be taken in two semesters and an inter-semester all in one academic year
Tuition Fees
- Kshs. 4,270 per credit hour
In Public Health
Admission Requirements-- A mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or Division III at KCE and their equivalent, -- A diploma from a recognized institution in any of the following health professions
- Public Health
- Nursing
- Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Pharmacy
-- License by the respective professional body -- Two years working experience in the respective health profession
Credit/Transfer Exemptions: A number of credit hours may be transferred from a diploma to the degree programme
